It starts with the great aspirations outlined in Section A of the EHC plan. Positive aspirations are at the heart of what propels us forward in life. Aspirations can act as the guiding star that drives us forward or as the secret inner life that keeps us all going.
- The plan reflects on the high views/aspirations of the child/young person.
- The views wish and feelings of the child and his or her parent, or the young person.
- The plan will reflect on the needs of the child including Educational. Health and Social Care need.
- The plan will reflect the provisions made of the child or the young person.
- The plan is both persons centred and compliant with the required legislation and the requirements of the Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) Code of Practice (CoP) 2015
- There is clear joint commissioning in its preparation. Showing how agencies will work together to deliver joint provision...
- A good plan will demonstrate awareness of the totality of the child or young person
- It will clearly identify the child or young person’s aspirations in Section A of the plan and link these to the expected outcomes
- The plans should be concise and focused only on the key information.
